About MeI am a videographer, lighting designer, and editor, currently based in the Metro Detroit area. My production experience includes local and national television shows, feature-length and short films, music videos, and commercials. My passion is for creating compelling stories - through my camera, through the power of lighting, or through the editing process - and bringing unique ideas to life on the screen. I am always on the look-out for the next interesting project to get involved with, and I love finding the artistry in any video medium, from movies to ads.
I studied television and film production at Syracuse University's S. I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. I now work as a freelancer, and also as a member of the crew at Detroit Public Television (WTVS 56), where for the past five years I have been a lighting director, editor, camera operator, and lighting and staging team member on both local and national PBS productions. This experience at Detroit Public TV has included studio lighting and multi-camera live studio production, documentary-style field lighting and single-camera production, and editing in Adobe Premiere. In my freelance work, I have shot, lit, and edited short documentaries, music videos, and commercials, working as a one-man band to follow a project through from its inception to the final product, and shape the storytelling process along the way. |
